In addition to being a replacement, this lock can transform a door with a normal patent key (therefore with low security) into a high security door as you can add and easily replace a Yale type cylinder (not supplied) which can also be high security (e.g. encrypted, non-reproducible keys, etc.).

To make this replacement from a patent lock to a Yale cylinder, however, it will be necessary to modify the door leaf to allow the insertion of the cylinder and change the escutcheons which have a different shape)
