The GS86 strike plate is the new model that replaces the G986, with which it is compatible and interchangeable.

Please Note: The lock bolt extends automatically when the door is in the closed position. When the door is open, even if the key is turned, the bolt does not extend (giving the impression of being faulty, as it differs from common locks). When the door is closed, turning the key locks the handle, preventing the door from opening. If the door does not close, the defect could be in the "strike plate" which has lost its magnet or is misaligned or too far from the lock. If in doubt, please contact us.
