Please note: The lock tongue extends automatically when the door is closed. When the door is open, even turning the key doesn't extend the tongue (which gives the impression of being defective, as it's different from standard locks). When the door is closed, however, turning the key jams the handle, preventing the door from opening. If the door doesn't close, the fault could be the latch plate, which has lost its magnet behind it, or it may be misaligned or too far from the lock. If you have any questions, please contact us.
