When the door is open, even if you turn the key, the tongue does not extend (giving the impression of being faulty as it differs from common locks). When the door is closed, turning the key locks the handle, preventing the door from opening. If the door does not close, the defect may be in the strike plate, which has lost its magnet, or it may be misaligned or too far from the lock. If in doubt, please contact us.
