Please note: The lock's latch extends automatically when the door is in the closed position. When the door is open, even if you turn the key, the latch does not extend (giving the impression of being faulty as it differs from common locks). However, when the door is closed, turning the key locks the handle, preventing the door from opening. If the door does not close, the defect may be in the strike plate, which has lost its magnet behind it, or it may be misaligned or too far from the lock. In case of doubt, please contact us.
