With this lock, a door with a normal patent key (and therefore low security) is transformed into a high-security door, as a Yale-type cylinder (not supplied) can be added and easily replaced, which can also be high-security (e.g., coded, non-duplicable keys, etc.)

To make this replacement from a patent lock to a Yale cylinder, it will be necessary to modify the door leaf to allow the insertion of the cylinder and change the escutcheons, which have a different shape)
