In addition to replacing an existing lock, this lock can transform a door with a standard bit key (and thus low security) into a high-security door, as a Yale-type cylinder (not supplied), which can also be high-security (e.g., coded, non-reproducible keys, etc.), can be added and easily replaced.

To perform this replacement from a bit key lock to a Yale cylinder, it will be necessary to modify the door leaf to allow for the insertion of the cylinder and to change the escutcheons, which have a different shape.
