Please Note: The lock bolt extends automatically when the door is in the closed position. When the door is open, even if you turn the key, the bolt does not extend (giving the impression of being faulty as it differs from common locks). When the door is closed, turning the key locks the handle, preventing the door from opening. If the door does not close, the defect could be in the "striker plate" which has lost the magnet behind it or is misaligned or too far from the lock. In case of doubt, please contact us.
