Please note: The lock tongue automatically extends when the door is in the closed position. When the door is open, even if the key is turned, the tongue does not extend (giving the impression of being faulty as it is different from common locks). When the door is closed, turning the key locks the handle, preventing the door from opening. If the door does not close, the defect could be in the strike plate "gaccia" which has lost its magnet or is misaligned or too far from the lock. In case of doubt, please contact us.
